I'm sure this is not the case.

That is the only place I saw where it may be possible. I'm guessing that is probably it, they just moved a lot of stuff around. But from the pictures it is unclear that the front piece even comes off or anything. I showed all the angles and there doesn't seem to be any screws or anything you loosen in order to open that front part.... |
There were no screws in the fats to get to the HDDD... i dont think...

There was at least one that you needed to remove before you could change the hard drive, but you couldn't see any until you took off the plastic cover that exposed the hard drive cage.
I think I found the release for the HDD compartment in the new design. Look on the bottom picture. Towards the right side there appears to be a small slot where a screw driver could pop open. I bet you open that, loosen a screw, and then the front opens up.
Sorry if I scared anyone, I just panicked because I am highly anticipating getting a PS3 again in a few months and I will want the extra storage.

I believe it is located here

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM
End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.
Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)
End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):
Wii: 81 mil 360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

Since it looks like these were indeed real, look where the fingers are sticking through and look at a larger official image of the Slim. Right click and view the image if you need to.

I say no, and I still think that video was fake, this looks larger, and that front on view is growing on me

I agree it looks like that is the spot. And I believe I found the release for the HDD compartment on the bottom view picture. You can ignore the Title and use this thread as an education tool for where the new HDD slot it and how to access it
Unfortunately I doubt many people will read this stuff to find it out.
Any word of it has a power brick? I haven't seen any pics of the back.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
