I am truly excited by the great news of a PS3 Slim which is set for release in just four weeks!! Not to mention the fact, Sony has finally decided to drop the price of the PS3 80gb and 160gb models. At first, I didn't want to believe all these rumors of the slim because I thought it was some way of people trying to give Sony a good reputation in the gaming industry. However, I was wrong. Not only will the PS3 Slim help sales but it could possibly help the PS3 close the gap between the 360 in NA! I also thought this year could be Sony's best holiday season ever. The PS3 Slim could help boost sales when its released but it also boost sales during the holiday season. Lets not forget PSN is getting a whole new design.

Could this finally be the turning point for Sony in the gaming industry that we have been waiting years for?

I think the PS3 Slim just needs a lot of good ads to hype up the release. Not many people may know about the slim.

Now it´s time for the ps3 slim to close the gap. In Japan 360 will be dead soon enough, in Europe ps3 will take over 360 easily, in US it´s going to be more difficult. So, is MS going to make a price cut like sony did ? And what about nintendo ? Sony also needs a better marketing and good bundles to boost sales.

PS3 Slim + Price-cut + FFXIII in Japan = OMFG!!!!!
