I am pretty sure MS had plans to announce for the 1st September. The only suprise is that they feel they need to increase the Arcade cost in the UK at a time the currency gap is decreasing for both the Euro and the Dollar.

I think the confirm the Elite at $299 tomorrow and discontinue the Pro. The Arcade won't drop again.

The PS3 slim has Blu-Ray + WiFi + free + online + runs quieter + sucks less power. Who really needs a bigger than 120GB HDD anyway?

MS is going to have to at least starting bundling maybe some better games or something. 

I agree, and it may hurt sales for a little while.

First, the 360 currently uses less power than even the Slim will at 250W.

Now, for tomorrow I expect hardware related announcements as follows:

- Something about Natal.

- Elite price drop and a clearance price to sell the rest of the Pro's.

- Possible hints at a 360 re-design but very unlikely.

i see alot of people taking bout 360 being cheaper than the ps3 in Eu but it always was and will be like that 360 had 2 EU price cuts in 2008 while the ps3 had none b4 08 they where even

I think the Xbox 360 Elite needs to get to a $250.00 price point.

They already have the arcade for $200. They don't need a price cut.

not really the elites and pros werent the most sold last holidays the arcade was the elite can stay at 300$ and still compete with sony if there arcade is half the price of the slim

but i doubt it since in 07 the ps3 outsold the 360 wen it was priced at 400 and the core was 280 thats 120 prie diff

if the arcade goes to 150$ then maybe the 360 and ps3 sales will be neck and neck this holidays ill be suprised if the elite goes from 400 to 250 thats crazy
