They didn't annouce any date in Gamescom, so does that confirmed the game won't launch this year making 2009 looking even poorer then before.

There's still TGS, which is where all former GT games have been announced/detailed in the past.

yeah I don't care about the slim but I want more games 2009 is already looking like shit compared to the first few months of 2010 and I need to play some GT5 it has been to long since GT4.

They still have TGS. It makes much more sense to announce a Japanese developed game at a Japanese games show as well as to spread their announcements over a couple of months. This way, up until TGS everyone will be talking about the PS3 slim and then after TGS everyone will be talking about GT5. That means a lot of Sony hype in the months leading uptill the holiday period.

I still think 2009... but only 3 months between announcement and launch does not seem like much, but apparently it is playable at GamesCom

TGS is in sept.
