They still have TGS. It makes much more sense to announce a Japanese developed game at a Japanese games show as well as to spread their announcements over a couple of months. This way, up until TGS everyone will be talking about the PS3 slim and then after TGS everyone will be talking about GT5. That means a lot of Sony hype in the months leading uptill the holiday period.
