lmao great title!
BMX XXX got the game a little more sales than it deserves no?

On topic, stick Final Fantasy *cough* versus 13 *Cough* and it will gain attention.

Pro evo
Fifa
basically any sport series.
Call of Duty.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Well, if you stick Mario it will sell.

In most cases, yes. However, if a title starts to get associated with mediocre games, it may slip in popularity (think sonic)

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Yes, just look at movie games, 90% of the time there would be no other reason to buy them.

Yes, people pay for the name. Common knowledge!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Take my love, take my land..

yes, if a title sounds cool people will be most attracted to that game for example, would you buy a game called "elf boy in tights: journey to save elf princess zelda" perhaps it would be better to name it legend of zelda, and so on. companys contract special people to actually make nice sounding names for their products.

That rule only seems to apply for nintendo. If you put "mario" "wii" or "legend" you're nearly guaranteed to sell at least 4 million.

for sure the name impacts the sales... both in a positive and negative way.
