Forums - Sony - Persona 3 Portable announced for PSP

This is great. I didn't play P3 so I am definitely looking foward to this. I remember reading that Atlus were interested in including the option of a female protagonist but said that it would be hard because they would have to write dialogue for the female as well as the male but that doesn't seen to stop them from trying.

From IGN - http://psp.ign.com/articles/101/1014865p1.html

Persona 3 Portable is based around the main scenario of Persona 3 Fes, but Atlus is adding a whole lot to make this more than just a port. The biggest change appears to be the ability to select between male and female main characters. The newly added female main character offers different events and character relationships from the male character. Even the male character scenario will be seeing new elements, including visual changes to some Personas.

Other new elements include the ability to select between five difficulty levels: beginner, easy, normal, hard, and maniacs. Movement through the game world has been simplified, as you can now select a destination directly from a menu and be transported there instantly. During battle, you now have the option of directly issuing commands to all your ally characters.

November 1 is the Japanese launch date for PSP go, making Persona 3 Portable a launch title for the system. For RPG fans, Sony's portable redesign seems like it has its first must-have title!

Sounds incredible!

I hope it has a lot changed, I mean, I love P3 and everything, but I wanna see new things. At least I won't make the same mistake of FES and choose Hard mode

The best thing of this is that, Atlus releasing 2 Persona games for PSP in less than a year shows that P5 for PSP is very very likely

Interesting and I guess it's time to finally start saving for a PSP.

From what I can tell, posters on Japanese forums think that the jump from 1 to 3 is a hint that 5 is coming to PSP as well.

Like I mentioned earlier, Atlus appear to be doing the same thing SE did, when they released DQ remakes before DQIX.

Yes!!! Teamplay commands! The AI was just so fricking dumb in FES. I can't wait for this!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

PSP = Persona Portable.
see thats why it can't be done on DS

xD i linked the justin.tv to this thread.

I usually don't like playing with leading females in RPGs, but I'll have to make an exception her, since, well, I already played as male.

Great that they're putting party commands

Hmmmm... Now there is too many PSP games that I'm looking forward too. I haven't got the chance to play P3 so I'm interested.
