I personally wish they'd make a deal with Square and come back and fix the Seiken Densetsu series. And make another game on the caliber of Seiken Densetsu 3 for DS.

Since Mother 2/Earthbound probably won't be on the VC anytime soon, what makes you think that it will be in the trilogy compilation instead?

I don't have high hopes. I was just pointing out that nothing could be more awesome for Brownie Brown to be working on. Also, there's a slightly higher chance since there would be more profit I think in a DS RPG compilation than VC releases of the games, so it is more likely they would be willing to pay the licensing costs of the music the games use.

You guys do realize there was other development groups behind Mother 3, namely HAL Laboratory and Nintendo SPD Production Group 3 headed by Nobuyuki Inoue and Shigesato Itoi. So if they were just working on some kind of Mother Compilation or port of Mother 3, I would think they would be working with one of these groups or have made a joint announcement through Nintendo. This sounds much more like an announcement for an original game or sequel to one of their previous game series (Magical Vacation/etc).
