It's one of those things where tons of people want it, but once it happens, they'll discover how horrible of an idea it is.

Master Chief is supposed to be all powerful and mysterious. Nothing under his mask would be any near as cool as he is right now.

I think it'd have a detrimental effect on the character of the Chief, he's supposed to be a mysterious, super-human soldier. Revealing a face would add a human dimension to him that wouldn't do anything to enhance to depiction of the character. He's appealing enough to many gamers as it is.

Zero Suit Samus was a hotty. Zero Suit Master Chief would just be this ridiculously tall, steroid-laden freak. Even the fangirls wouldn't want it.
