the 4 gears, Marcus, Baird, Cole, and Dom have already established themselves as the image of Gears. sure Tai and Carmine were in Gears 2, but they died and were never really part of the old gang.

Was it always planned to be a trilogy?  Even if not, you don't just abandon a franchise that has sold nearly 11 M games. 

I think 2011 sounds pretty good for a release window, MS wouldn't want their top two exclusive shooter franchises to cannabliize each others sales.

They should have Fenix lose his 'do rag and be balding underneath. I think it could totally revitalize his character.

I honestly only want 1 thing *fixed* in Gears 3 and I'd be happy; hosted servers. I play Gears 2 a hell of a lot on-line and the inconsistency caused by locally hosted games is the only real sticking point for me.

Otherwise I trust the team at Epic to do right by this franchise.

2011 I reckon
3 years to work on it instead of 2 giving it lots of time to be perfected. 2010 is packed enough.

I hope for 4 player co-op, and I agree it should be released in 2011. There is already a lot of games coming out next year.

Man Gears 2 was so awesome. I actually thought they did work a little on Marcus' humanity. I mean we see that even though the relationship was strained he does care a great deal about his father. And if any read the comics they know that Anya and Marcus have "a Thing" (Dom and Maria bet on wether or not they'd fall in love). And once again To Marcus Dom is the only family he has left and possibly Delta.

But they did explore and show a softer side of Marcus in Gears 2 just look at how he reacted to the deaths of Carmine and Tai.
I just hope they complete his character as much as they have in the comics.

By The way did anyone else feel horrible when Tai died? Thats still bugging me :S I mean it's TAI!.....go read the comics.

OP: Only thing Gears can do to improve itself is maybe in the character dev department and Finally expanding more on the nature and origins of the locust. Me thinks that The Locust Queen= Ruth from Niles experimentation lab.

So Yes Im one of those Humans made locust theorists. I just hope the game comes sooner rather then later as Gears Of War is BY Far my favourite 360 exclusive franchise with Mass Effect as a second place holder. Those games are the reasons I turn on my 360

ALL they have to do is make the multiplayer like it was in Gears 1! Where people could pick what map they wanna host and where the shotgun was actually good not the bullshit that they have now
