The best thing about lost seasons 1-5 dvd boxset  is that it continues the excellent pacing that was established after the lost series  hiatus. I'm sure everyone will recall that fans were outraged and disappointed after the first six episodes of lost complete series, which were broadcast a few months before the show resumed in the winter. Fans felt that the show was dragging, as if they were trying to stretch the  lost series out an extra season or two instead of getting on with the story. When the show resumed, the producers responded to the fans' complaints and significantly stepped up the pace of the storytelling. By the end of lost seasons1-5 dvd boxset it felt like a new and completely refreshed show. And lost seasons 1-5 dvd boxset  have maintained that pace. One thing that definitely helped them maintain the pace was the announcement at the end of lost 1-5 dvd Season three that the show would end after Season Six of lost on dvd.
And so we come to the beginning of the end. For five seasonsLOST dvds has been one of the most intense, involving shows on television. I'm already starting to get sad about its end. I still haven't quite recovered from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ending this spring and now LOST dvds ends next spring. It has been a great story from the very beginning and we can only hope that things remain just as good as they have been.

Lost is a GREAT show, but there are even better shows that just aren't as mainstream, because they are adult oriented.

Shows like The Wire, Six Feet Under, Dexter, Deadwood, and The Sopranos are all at least equal to Lost in quality and storytelling, but don't get the attention(sans Sopranos) because they are pretty much rated X.

Some other great mainstream TV series' are Gunsmoke, Star Trek: TNG, NYPD: Blue, and the first 3 seasons of 24.

Trueblood is an interesting show that is currently airing.

Also, I'm really into anime boxed sets.

Love Lost. My favourite TV series ever though a couple of seasons were possibly not that great. And I think 24 season 3 is the best series of a TV show ever but overall it doesn't come anywhere near lost because after season 3 it is utter garbage.

Zen I haven't seen Wire but I have heard it is really amazing.

Desparate Housewives is also pretty amazing (yes I said it)
