Forums - Sony - So been playing BioShock...And...

For the last 4 to 5 day or something like that... and i gotta say this fucking game is messed up, the freaking splicer things are insane and creepy and i almost pissed my self a few times.

One thing i did notice about this game though...it plays VERY, VERYYYYYYYYYYYYY, smoothly, i mean damn its so clean cut when running, shooting, or whatever your doing while playing its not even funny, then i check out the options menu and notice the "MAX FRAME-RATE" option and oh someones gawd... (Not even using this option and when i do firing a barrage of G's does not even dent the speed of gameplay!)

I've not see a game run so smoothly on a console in my entire 10 years of gaming (Crossing out a few PC projects i was working on a some point...) and damn, really nice, it runs so smoothly its sorta funny looking in a way.

I have a new Respect for 2K, i never played a game from them before but so far they have made the Best 360 to PS3 Port ever.

They haz my praise when it comes to this creepy but good game.

At anyrate, anyone else get freaked out by this game at certain points before? i only recently got started and jumped more then a few times, the fucking big daddehs make such a spooky noise... and the little sisters are deranged little bitchs.

As for the splicers, there butt-ugly and remind me of old fashioned grudge-like creatures...

This game is too spooky that I stopped playing after like 20 minutes, just like Doom 3.

Do you see how high of a rating Bioshock is on LIVE by users?

I loved the game, until I saw the ending... Then I went Picard on that and said WTF is this shit!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

FAK!

To spooky, but i need mah trophies! >_<

@Aion- Dood, i dunno bout the 360 version but got mine for $20 and so far its worth it, this game has RPG elements.

Oh gods, best ambiance of any HD game right now. The only other FPS that I've played this gen that is that flawless and smooth is Half-Life 2 on the Xbox360 (yes I know about the loading screens in uncomfortable places, I mean aside from that), I don't know if it's that nice on the PS3 or not, I heard it was a bit flawed.

Heard half-life 2 was crap on PS3.

But with BS that is NOT the case it runs so smooth its sorta odd, the only game i seen run this smooth and only for a short while was inFamous this gen.

Yes Bioshock is an amazing game!!! But I didn't find it too spooky at all, but then again I don't get spooked by much of anything (besides getting startled by unexpected events)  I mean, I'm playing Silent Hill on my 360 lately, and haven't found that really spooky either...just more weird...

1) You were scared by BioShock? Wimp... it was a little creepy at times, but never disturbing for me.

2) It runs smoothly? LOLWUT? The framerate is standard, it ran slightly better than Killzone 2. You want to see a game that REALLY runs well, look at CoD4 or WipEout HD. 60fps throughout. BioShock lagged for me pretty often, actually. It always began to run slowly with a lot of action on screen, and whenever enemies were firing, that trademark gun flash from the PS2 days... you haven't played many console games if you've never seen a game run better than BioShock.

3) What was remotely scary about the sound the Big Daddies made? It sounded like a cross between a ship foghorn and a truck driving down a road.

I did love the game, but running smoothly and scariness were not the reasons. Though it did have a great atmosphere, just not a frightening one.
