Forums - Nintendo - So I'm playing The World Ends With You

Got it in the mail a couple of days ago after buying it from Amazon for ten bucks. Sat down and played the first two days just now.

Battle system is a bit wonky right now - which is to say, I am not yet accustomed to it. I'm sure it gets very nice and intuitive. Not being able to move the character on the upper screen is problematic. I'll adjust. It's going to take me a while to be able to do combos on the upper screen while keeping up with Neku on the lower screen. Is there any way to make the upper screen get defensive, or do I just need to get faster so I kill the enemy before they attack?

These characters annoy the Hell out of me. How bad is it that Beat is the most interesting character so far?

Music is pretty Japanese!

Let's talk about The World Ends With You.

The battle system is indeed wonky at first, but you get used to it as the days progress. In terms of annoying characters "aaaaaahhh" is probably the most annoying sound beat will ever make :p

So there's no way to be defensive up top? Pah.

it takes awhile to get use to...but with practice you'll get better...dont let it shake u

Use the hockey puck thiing watever character its on use that character...iirc u build bigger damage by keepin syc

TWEENY is a very tiring game, I could only play it for about 45m- hour each play through

like just the frantic battles and gestures...i was tired alot lol

My favorite game on the DS. I should play through it again. After you get a collection of pins that you love, you'll be steam rolling your way through enemies. Good characters. Good story. Great music.

I liked the music a lot. That is pretty much all I liked about it.

probably depends on the types of badges. on my play through i used quite a bit of tap and slash badges, but i never felt tired personally.

as for the top screen - i never fussed much with it personally. Only time i played attention to it was on the secret boss fight, but that's because i took the wimpy way out - not that i think its physically possible to do it otherwise. but you'll find out what i mean later.

um..stuff
