But, overall I don't see much difference... It is more a different setting then anything else...

THAT IS NOT BAD... UNCHARTED WAS A SOLID GAME... MORE OF THE SAME IS GOOD.

I would have been satisfied had Uncharted 2 looked similar to Uncharted, which meshed with early reports of U2 prior to all the improvements in lighting and texture details.

As visually impressive as the original was, it was the game play that kept me coming back. The visuals just made it that much easier to draw me into the story and world of Uncharted.

That being said, it is entirely possible for Uncharted 2 to look far more impressive than Uncharted, but still play worse if they make any big changes in the controls or game play for the worse (like Resistance to Resistance 2).

The demo looked strong, but really didn't hold my interest enough to keep me playing it more than a couple times, so visuals aren't everything. But I'm still pretty certain the story mode will win me over once again.

exactly, Uncharted looks better than Uncharted 2 based on my PS3 and my HD TV(judging by those screens).. but Uncharted 2 does look better based on gameplay and recent scenes.. again we cant trust "TEH INTERNETZ" for full quality of the game, im sure it looks breathtaking, I mean killzone 2 looks hurrendously better on the TV than it does on TEH INTERNETZ.

Well based on the beta it plays alot better (going from cover to cover, grenade throws ect). The game felt so much better to play than the first.

The very top right picture from Uncharted 2....does Nathan look like Harrison Ford, or is that just me?

omg, I never noticed how large the gap is when watched separately. Thanks for making the comparison. Side-by-side the difference is insane!
