It's become a very popular phrase among PS3 fans as well as those who mock Sony, but I don't know how/when it started.

Anyone know when people first coined the phrase?

i came up with it :D

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

Alephnull and Jesus were having a discussion about the best multi-core CPU architecture and thats what their collaborative efforts came up with. The Cell is 6 Billion years in the making, at first life was just a few cells and now those cells have evolved to create the next step in the evolution of life.

No idea. I think it actually came from opponents of the PS3 and was meant to downplay the cell in a negative way. I guess PS3 fans have actually appropriated it now.

As far as the origin of cell processors go, I heard an interview with Joseph Matheny (the populizer of The Ong's Hat material) where he was talking about organic computer chips that were going to be very small and that would actually tap into energy in other dimensions for some of their power. I guess the PS3's cell is an early version of this type of chip.

Teh C3LL went back in time and started it. Ordinarily that would create a time loop and a paradox, and destroy teh C3LL, but teh C3LL is indestructible. So, life went on as normal.
