At least this thread provided me with some amusement, "it is on internet = america" lol |
i m sorry but again :
most of the internet english related website (like Arstechnica) = amercia crowd = pro 360

My main point is surveys suck because of this reason, skewed sample.
If we did the survey on this site i have a strong feeling we would get similar data because, at the moment, there seems to be a higher proportion of Sony fans on this site who will almost certainly vote for Sony out of loyalty even though they already own the system. It's the nature of fanboys.
We could conversely argue that the data from Arstechnica is expected. If the site is overrun with 360 fans as you say then of course they are going to vote for the PS3 as the system they would like to buy after a price drop, because many of them probably already own a 360. On a PS3 site we might expect the opposite.
Sony or 360 fans, the fact that they are avid gamers and already own a HD system means they are not representative of the general public anyway because they are probably more likely to buy multiple systems than Joe public.
In the end we don't know how to interpret the data and we can't attach any great meaning to it because the sample isn't random.
To me, those results still show 1 thing :
people on Arstechnica like the Sony Playstation Brand and a majority of them claim they are ready to buy a PS3 if the price is reduced.
