If you didn't think Fable 2 was beyond awesome then you were playing it wrong. It's my second favorite game of the generation behind Mass Effect.

Not going to lie, fable ii was a pretty horrible game. There's more character interaction in simons quest. the mini games are trumped by anything the wii has to offer, the character customization is completely overshadowed by a storyline that feels out of place, awkward and just silly. The game is unresponsive the controls are sluggish, the combat system is downright atrocious and modern warfare has a more in depth RPG experience.

Technically, the AI is a mess, the weapons don't connect all the time, there's horrible balancing in he weapons, augmented stones or whatever basically offer nothing in terms of diversity in gameplay, the enemies are dull, uninteresting and _never_ a challenge. The graphics are unacceptable for a game from Lionhead studios, with so much bloom covering what appear to be xbox 1 level textures that at one point and time, I actually felt like I was blinded for a second while coming over a hill.

Fable II has to be, for me, the biggest disappointment in my entire life. I loved Fable I so much and Molyneux said so much about this game and I wanted it so bad. What came out was actually the worse gaming experience of my entire life. This game barely qualifies as a product let alone a fully fledged game. I don't know how much money Lionhead gave to reviewers, but this game deserves nothing more than a 6 out of 10 on a review scale. Too Human was a vastly better experience.

I love Lionhead studios, and I really hope that they can come out with a good game. They have the talent, this is obviously seen in Black & white and Fable I. I really hope they get their act together.

And at the other poster please don't even put Fable II and mass effect in the same category, mass effect is a wonderful game that is a product of hard work and dedication to fans by a developer who really care about their people. it is exactly what we need on the XBOX, more games that are for gamers. Fable II is nothing but a sellout on its name, It failed to meet any of it's expectations and molyneux flamed and abused people who did not consider it the second coming of some god.

Where I'm from, i beat the game in 5 and a half hours on launch day, was so horribly disappointed that I brought it back and Gamestop was only offering 15$ because they had already received a crap load of copies back the same day.

I don't even know what to classify fable II as. It's not a WRPG because it lacks any sort of cohesive RPG structure. It's not a sim game because there is no depth to it, the sims 2 has a much more detailed character development system and you dont even play as them. It's not an adventure game because the game literally takes you from point A to point B. It's not an exploration game because the game doesn't let you explore, it's just a series of pretty hallways.
It's not much of an action game because you literally tap one button to defeat all the enemies. It's not a platform, it's not a puzzle game, I really don't know what it is.

In fact, that's the problem. The game attempted to be so ambitious that it fails in every single category and is left with what feels like an empty experience. I call it the Spore effect, except Fable II felt a much harder blow than Spore, there is at least the space stage in spore providing the player with some sort of satisfaction.

If you like it, that's fine, that's your opinion, but the game really isn't that great. It was just supposed to be.

You lost credibility when you rated Too Human above Fable II digitalentourage. Too Human is one of the worst games I've played this generation, the story is complete crap and the actual gameplay frustratingly repetitive. That might just be one opinion but at least its shared by the majority of critics.

I didn't say it was a better game, it's not, though they're both bad. Too human is just more fun to play, for me anyway. probably because of how highly i looked up to fable ii.

Why do you think that any post about an opinion of a game that isn't positive is a troll? Come on, fable II was really bad and I'm not trolling. I was honestly thrashed by how horrible it was.
