'Nice' sig. I'm not sure if this is much better than the last. Besides that poo needs flies!

Thanks. I think this sig is nice too.

Ok, I get that bundles are more in demand. But wouldn't an even slightly savvy consumer buy a 2980 yen copy of MH3 and a 1800 yen CC PRO as it would be far, far cheaper than buying the bundle? The controllers are in stock at amazon.co.jp, not sure about other vendors. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous of Japanese gamers. I'd love to be able to buy a popular recent release for 59% off retail two weeks after launch. It often takes many months if at all to see that kind of discount here. |
lol, I'm with you, if only people think that way. It's just like Microsoft charging retail for their Games-on-Demand service citing the "convenience". People see the all-in-one packaging and think convenience, it's just like coupons, people would live like kings if they ever took advantage of them, but ALOT of coupons make you jump through hoops for a reason. =D
The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!
...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

The answer to this question is that the 3000 yen MH was never on shelves. It was available at an online retailer for a short amount of time and sold out quickly (perhaps it was a small amount or was pulled quickly). The actual store had MH at normal price the whole time, it was only the online store. According to Neogaf you can find MH3 stand alones for around 5000 yen at some places right now. It is still cheap but the price collapse is certainly exaggerated.

@johnsobas: Reading the whole thread FTW. Heck, you didn't even have to read anything, you only had to look at one of the many photos all over this thread.
Go look at the OP, it's going for 2980 yen in at least one retail store.

you are correct although the OP was not. Originally it was only online.

Originally the OP wasn't entirely correct, but as of right now it is since MH3 is going for 2980 yen in store. Again, that's an amazing deal for a new game.

that was a nice stealth edit of yours. There's no need to get defensive like that.
