I read in a wall street journal article a while back that Sony has long wanted to do some kind of premium service for the PSN but felt that they really weren't in the position to, because the service has for a long time been an almost underground feature- nobody uses it!

So, they decided to offer it for free, and charge for extra content. Now, that they are finally offering a premium service, they seem to be more confident that the PSN is going places, but dang its been a couple of years since then lol

Definitely. They've blocked out three hours, so the conference itself is probably 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

that would be a lot of stuff to announce. i expect only firmware 3.0. i hope it has faster in game xmb and a more detailed profile card.

right now i think PSN is a little sloppy like the battery covering the time and the fact that u have to sign in to see ur trophy card with is a bit dumb... its just small thing that need to be done and if there giving PSN a overhaul id be afraid there getting ready to start charging
