Forums - Sales - AC2 Sales will be disappointing?

"Assassins Creed 2 on multiplatform will sell over 10 million lifetime sales"

Around the Network

Well I am personally skipping it until it drops to $30 or I happen to hit a gaming slump, which by the looks of things wont happen until Aug. 2010. It should do fine but MW2 might dig into its sales a little.

No, it will be alright.

AC2 sales will still be pretty good first week WW despite MW2 huge release.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Weren't they released within a week of each other in 2007?

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Pretty much... with MW came out on the 6th in US 2 or so day's later in others and  AC came out the 14th WW

Former something....

i didnt like the combat in the first, it was soo sooo bad! open world game play was great and loved the jumping around buildings and stuff
because of this i wont be picking it up this christmas....january sales for £20.. thn i will pick it up! lol

Time and time again the holidays have shown that multiple huge games can be supported by the consoles at the same time sales wise. I don't think AC2 will be disappoint in that regard, the setting is fantastic and the marketing machine should serve it well.

MW2 will be the big winner because we all know AC2 is gonna suck.

Well for that to happen, they'd both have to sell a bit more than the first seeing as between the two of them, they don't exceed 9mill.

Assassins Creed on X360/PS3/PC has sold over 10 million copies. PC version of Assassins Creed must of sold around 1 million copies bringing the combined total up to 9 million.

I see Assassins Creed 2 equalling or surpassing Assassins Creed sales due to the user base of X360/PS3 being more than double in 2009 than the user base of the two systems in 2007 when Assassins Creed debuted.
