assuming that gt5 really could be released in its current state do you think the game should be released in 09?  I personally think they should hold off the release until Fall 2010 since theres already going to be a ps3 pricecut for the holidays and supposedly a new model.  Plus Sony's spring 2010 lineups already going to have a couple of big games anyways so theres no need to drop gt5 during the spring, well at least in the US and Europe, Japan might be another story.  anyways what do you guys think????

I think releasing it anytime other than Xmas will diminish its impact, and the earlier Sony released it(around price cut or slim time?) the better chance they will have to propel themselves towards an eventual victory over the 360.

In other words, if it doesn't release in all territories in 09, I think the PS3 will end up 3rd this generation.

I think that it will take a bit more than Gran Turismo 5 for Sony to make up a 9 million + gap.

If Sony was evil, they would release GT5 as a bundle only game, drop the console to $299/wgame, ship it with the new slim sku, and laugh as they pass MS 1 day before they file chapter 11.

Yes, if it will be released together with a PS3 pricecut it can give Sony an amazing boost to their momentum and sells, more than the pricecut and GT5 seperately.

I couldn't really care about business implications anymore. I want this game alot, and so I want it as soon as possible.

It should be released because fans of the series have waited far too long, I want this game so friggin badly LOL! But on the sales side, releasing it in all territories in the Christmas period, bundled with a PS3 Slim or a pricecut will be a big boost for Sony and will be the initial step in overtaking the 360.

It probably should be released this year, especially if there is a PS3 Slim and a price cut.
