Just saw a Rambus commercial on TV advertising their XBR memory.  The commercial said that XBR made computing better blah blah, gaming come alive, etc.  While it was talking about gaming, a 360 console and controller floated across the screen.  I thought it ironic since PS3 has 256mb of XBR memory running at 3.2ghz (other half is standard RAM), but if I recall, 360 has no XBR memory.  The 360 console looked quite unattracive floating and twisting across the screen, in a retro matte kind of way, so Rambus probably didn't choose to depict the 360 based on aesthetics.  Weird.

Where are you from TC? In the US the 360 is ahead of the PS3 so to capture the hearts of the HD gamers it makes to show a 360 instead of a PS3. If what you say is all true and your from the EU then it's strange indeed as the PS3 is only a bit behind.

If it was a US commercial then it's probably understandable why.

Or IBM had a commercial crowing about PPC and shows a Macbook Pro (which currently uses Intel chips).
