mine is 40 gb, got it around october 2008. no problem so far.

60gb brought day it came out which i think was 23rd of march in the uk and never had a problem with it.

80GB september 2008, no problems at all

Looks like I bought mine on November 2007, 80Gig Motorstorm bundle with BC second hand.

It runs but it's louder than my old 360 at the moment and I think it's close to going which upsets me. Also now I would say 80% of the time that it doesn't recognize BluTooth devices so I have to connect my controller to the USB port and then unplug it (which works most of the time).

Had to send in once because a disk got stuck in it, my fault bought a used game which had stickers on it when I removed the stickers I didn't clean off the sticky residue.

Also got YLOD a few months ago, my fault again though opened it up to clean it in doing so I must have accidently flexed the mother board. I fixed it myself, easy fix really.

I bought a 80GB PS3 (LBP bundle with an extra controller) on December 08 and it's still working perfectly.

I have a 60GB PS3, got it March 20  something 2008 lol. I can't quite remember. But it has been working for me ever since.

I have a UK 60gb with software bc, brought 2 years ago second hand so i don't really know how old it was. worked fine until i put a7200rpm 160gb hd in. two months later had the yellow light of (you idiot) death. now have a 120 gb 5what ever rpm in after paying £120 for a replacement system. no problems as yet. As for all the advice on the net saying that a 7200rpm hdd is fine, would those who wrote it please send me £120 as you were all wrong!
