So Kotick is now the object of hate by Sony fanboys...lol.

Do you ever think before you click "post"?

I've learn my posting habits from sony fanboys like you....lol.  It's interesting how all the anti-Kotick threads started AFTER his comments about ps3 NEEDING a price cut...amazing how that just coincides!

Oh you mean how him starting to run his mouth coincides with annoyed people? Yea, I see what you mean.

Oh wait, apparently people MUST only like one console and NEVER play any games on their PC.

Tell me again...how did he run his mouth?

Wait, you mean to tell me that he hasn't said things that have made people annoyed of him?

He didn't threaten to pull support if Sony doesn't have a price cut? Activision didn't raise the price of Modern Warfare 2 in the UK as well as the PC version here in the US? He didn't say that he'd like it if their games cost more?

All this on top of rising dislike of Activison. . . I find it hard to see how this is all just a Sony fanboy thing especially when the OP is talking about Blizzard and their PC games.

It's just amazing on the timing...he makes comments that REALLY pisses off Sony fanboys, and Activision takes over as the most hated of companies in the gaming market.  It's amazing how much "love" Valve received as well...just some coincidence there as well...lol.  A SDF is hard at work 24-7, spinning thing in anyway they can...personally, I don't give a crap about Activision raising UK prices and WRT ticking up the price for PCs...it's a business decision...these guys don't make games for charity...it's to make money!!!  HULLO...if there is demand, and if you control the supply, you can take the price up (Have you checked the price of Oil?)...here's a hint...DON'T buy the game, and go get it used...oh...wait...they are evil too...

Oh...how could I forget...have you seen the comments about Carmack for his blasphemous comments...ID's days are numbered by SDF's calculations...

... it's a conspiracy man... NHK's out to get you...

I'm guessing you thought Sony fanboys were behind the whole boycott L4D2 thing instead of the older PC camp? It sounds like you live in a bunker or something... loosten up man XD *pats back*

The strange thing here is that Vivendi, the company that owns blizzard, bought activision, and yet Kotick, the former member of activision, is the CEO of Activision-blizzard.

I really do have to wonder if this really has anything to do with Kotick, since the Blizz side of the company tends do whatever they want on their own.
Although, Kotick is responsible for 4kids, so I'm not trying to defend this guy... just playing devil's adovocate.

It was a reversed take-over accoriding to wikipedia. Whatever that's supposed to mean.

I LOVE ICELAND!

plz fire kotick

lol yea, because the whole L4D2 thing was TOTALLY PS3 fanboys.

Ha ha, Heruamon is such a troll-bot.

Activision needs new management. I really wish Phil Harrison would get the job. He deserves to be in a company like Activision, and not Atari (the General Motors of videogames).

LOL...I'm a troll-bot...I don't got starting RED topics all the time, like many of these SDF folks engage in.  I give the PS brand alot of respect for elevating the gaming business to levels of other major media, but I certianly don't hold it as some "Holy Grail".  I never said that the Valve hate was originated by sony fanboys, but amazingly, on THIS site...they had ALOT of comments on the subject when it was raised...which would be like me commenting on the merits of the next Uncharted...or GOW III.

You do troll a lot, and you did make a good effort to troll in this thread, but I'd like to leave that at that. The reason Sony fanboys turned against Valve was because Valve said bad things about the platform. If they said they wouldn't make games for the 360 and that they didn't like developing or it at all, would 360 fanboys think it's okay and still like Valve? No. Activision is getting so much hate because they're undermining real quality in this industry. Call of Duty is great, but that's only one series. Guitar Hero still isn't as good as Rock Band (at least, review wise), and they love to nab movie based games and other shovelware. They're quickly becoming the EA of a couple years ago. However, while EA is trying to improve and create new quality IPs, Activision couldn't give less of a crap. And which one is making money?

Frankly, I don't get worked up about it, but I agree with the general consensus.

Well, it definitely didn't help Bobby's popularity, that outside of milking WoW, he totally ignores PC gamers, and treats Wii users like second-class citizens. (Cod 4 Wii announced now...).

To make things even worse, 360 fanboys don't have any particular reason to love and defend him either.

So, yes. When he says something dumb, mostly everyone has some reason to hate him for it.

And that's my cue to leave...banning hurts my feelings...lol.

I do think that heruamon has a legitimate point. Not that there aren't a number of justifications to dislike the man. Though it does seem that his infamous threat of withdrawing support seems to be what is resonating for many members. They may put forward supporting reasons, but the truth is that is what really pissed them off.

We are looking at the proverbial making a mountain out of a mole hill. When you dislike something someone did there is a propensity to find more reasons to hate them. You actively seek them out, and your not likely to find good things they have done, because that isn't serving your purposes.

The reality is four months ago the negative commentary on Activision was scant at best. Then we have members read about the PS3 price ultimatum, and suddenly the discontent goes right through the roof. To imply it is not the primary motive is naive at best, and intentional ignorance at worst. You can dress up a chimp, and smear makeup all over it, but it is in the end it is still a chimp. Basically every other day its members playing dress up with their original gripe.

In this case it is entirely subjective, and nothing more then corporate flaming of the sour grapes variety. You don't want to like this person, because of the fact that he made a threat against Sony. Well to be honest he was right to make those comments the high price of the console was impacting the bottom line for his company. Boo if you want you know he was right. Just as right as every other game developer that put the screws to Sony this generation. How quickly we have managed to forget comments from the likes of Square and Konami.

Anyway as far as I am concerned its just hating with an ulterior motive. You can't keep ragging on the company for the same thing so you go out looking for new ways to rag on them. Well the truth be told on the whole his company is doing a fairly good job of delivering games to the public that the public seems to want. In other words he is obviously doing more good then bad. As far as this generation goes a lot more entities have done far worse.
