There is just too much going on for me not to believe there is a Slim coming, or at least a price drop.

Too many sources have been clearing stock and revealing information.

Dude, Ps3s are selling for $249 now, so its no question that Sony IS trying to clear their PS3 stock. The only reason would be if they

are making something big like a PS3 Slim, or they are dropping out of the hardware industry which is almost 100% impossible.

What other possible reason could you think of that Sony is trying to clear all their stock of current PS3's?

The most relevant proof we have is the PS3 slim boxart  of the first batch of "fake" pictures inasmuch as it is exactly the same as the boxart of the PSPGo and the latter was relealed only weeks after the PS3 slim leak.

First off, I'm not impossible to convince. The most credible evidences alluded to in this thread has actually upped my probability rating on the PS3 Slim considerably. So thanks for assuming I'm a complete and raving fanboy.

Secondly, weren't the ""fake" pictures" actually based on the PSPGo boxart from the beginning? And wouldn't that kinda nullify "The most relevant proof..."?


how could they be when the "fake" pictures were released 1 month before the PSP GO & its box art was revealed?

I haven't seen that at all. Where is it selling for $249? Link?

Edit: In sweden, it is still selling for 3800 SEK (approx 500 USD) for the 80 gig, and 5000 SEK (approx 670 USD) for the 160 gig version.

For me this rumor is important as my ps3 broke down, so I'm ina position where I can sell it & then buy a slim cheap or just replace it for a big PS3 straight away lol

So there you go Killergran. There's pretty much all the reasons why most people are convinced a slim PS3 is coming soon.

1. Sony 2010 fiscal outlook seemingly impossible with PS3 at $399
2. Sony confirms that PS3 still being sold at 10% loss
3. Leaked Chinese manufacturing photos
4. Cease and disist letters from Chinese law firms
5. Leaked PSP Go! box collaborates with leaked Slim photos
6. Ars Technica Mole confirmation
7. Slim caught on video at market in Phillipines
8. Numerous incredible bundles arise
9. Neogaf mole confirmations
10. PS3 80GB stock thinning out at most retailers
11. Sony states that PS3 manufacturing costs have dropped by 70% since launch
12. Various price drops by retailers throughout Europe and on Amazon
13. Numerous retailers insist of the existence of a slim and even offer it for pre-order

And for some reason Sony has yet to deny the existence of a slim model despite the fact that it must be effecting PS3 sales at this point.
