and they absolutely loved it. It was really hard for them to understand the physics of the jumping and grabbing at first, and it took them forever to get past the gardens. But through all the failure and repetition, they kept laughing again and again, commenting all the while how pretty and cute the characters are, stopping at random spots to take pictures and place stickers, and all in all just fool around with it. Eventually they got the hang of it, and they forgot to make dinner, to the chagrin of my irate brother when he got home.
They also kept apologizing to me because they kept having to repeat the same thing again and again, but in my mind I was really appreciating the moment they had playing like.. well, I thought they were playing the thing the way it was meant to be played.. with utter randomness.
Anyway I just wanted to make a post about this because it seems that for casuals to enjoy Littlebigplanet, they have to have someone guide them through on how to get past the initial difficult moments, as the physics are rather hard to get into at first. Maybe the initial steep learning curve was the cause for the mediocre sales of such a good game...
