Depends on if you consider Eyetoy a ripoff of the Dreameye for the Dreamcast.

isn't Dreameye is just a webcam for the console?

it didn't have the motion sensing thing. (or it did?)

rip off no.

but they took the core of the tech and applied it different.

ps3 eye is doing already 1-1 motion control, also facial recognition.

there is a delay even worse than the one of first wiimote on natal as it's now.

and voice recognition doesn't work at well even on windows 7.

It's definitely similar, but that doesn't mean it is a rip off. You can do similar things by different means.

I wouldn't call it a rip off. Natal is far superior tech.

That being said i have played quite a few eyetoy games I don't see much that Natal can do that PSEye wouldn't be able to do. Especially in the hands of talented devs i'm sure they might feel about equal on user experience.

My biggest problem with all these motion controls is accuracy and input lag. My biggest problem with the Wii and Eyetoy was that while they were fun often times they didn't seem to respond correctly or too slowly ruining my immersion. The videos i have seen of natal seem like better graphix but gameplay not much better.

It's quite possible i'm wrong but i'm waiting to see better software before I make my final judgements.

This.  While it does appear to do similar things, the tech in Natal was clearly more advanced than most of the comparison shots for eyetoy.  That table tennis that they showed looked flat and frankly not very fun, whereas the full 3D space of that breakout game could provide at least as much entertainment at a party as Wii bowling.

It had motion sensing.

The dreamcast was just out of buisness before it was put to any great use.

Wow this proves more then I imagined that Natal is nothing more than an advanced EyeToy/PS Eye

I feel PS eye is bad, which is why I dont have it. I will however get it when Motion Controll comes out for PS3. This is why I dont like the camera as it is.

first, there is a microphone built-in. This means, whenever someone wants to use the
PS Eye mic, we will here every noise in their house and it'll be near-impossible to hear or understand anyone else. Why not sell blutooth mics and the camera seperate? It would
make Sony more money and make gamers happier.

Second, its impossible to clip it on to your TV. The bottom of the camera is flat, and has to be on flat ground. This meens you cant cliup it to your TV AND you
