Forums - Website Topics - Come play Need for Speed Shift in San Francisco next Thursday!

We have a special opportunity to present to one lucky community member today. EA is holding a press event on Thursday, August 13th in San Francisco from 5pm-8pm to demo Need for Speed Shift, and they've been gracious enough to allow us to invite one community member along for the ride! So if you live in the area and want the opportunity to hang out with VGChartz staff member Evan Eller (The Ghost of RubangB), other gaming media, and the EA developers themselves, read on!

The details:

  • The event is in San Francisco, at 8th and Folsom. You'll need to provide your own transportation there.
  • Must be 17 years of age or older and a registered VGChartz member. Will need picture ID.
  • Send an email to contest@vgchartz.com with the subject "Need for Speed Shift Event" and your VGChartz account name in the body of the email to enter. The winner will be chosen at random by Tuesday!

None of you hipsters want to attend?

I would apply just to hang out with RubangB, but unfortunately I'm in Mexico :(

You also must have a legitimate need for speed to apply. If you have ever used brakes in any game, don't waste our time.

Also, there will be snacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111

Ooh, and they're having some other "guess the car" contest with prizes at http://www.needforspeed.com/ if any of you guys are good at car-guessing and prize-winning.

Former something....

Yea it's a chance to prove how good this community really is too. ;)

Forgot to mention this, but make sure your VGChartz account name is on the body of the email so we know who you are!

In case you're wondering:

1. Not everyone lives in the San Francisco area.

2. The last couple Need for Speed games have been absolutely, absolutely awful. There are probably few people left on this site who like the series.

Hmm still nobody huh?
