And more the reason that Activision is taking EA's place of hated huge company.

I don't see how their pricing is much worse than EA's though. I just saw the poster for the Rock Band Beatles full band set and the fucking thing costs $250.

Funny isn't it? I still hold Activision over EA. Everyone else has just gotten used to EA's style of year-after-year milking...

Well, I'm not saying this just because of their pricing. Many others things factor into my feelings than just this.

It's funny that Activision continue on the path that EA realized had to turn away from (the make franchises and milk them for everything they're worth strategy). They could learn from EA's eventual stagnation, but they don't see a problem.

unfortunetly, the guys who affect these kinds of decisions don't care about long terms growth.  their pay is generally tied to current quarter/year performance.

I never said you were. However, you said "more the reason that Activision is taking EA's place of hated huge company", meaning you think they are putting forth a worse pricing structure. I was merely offering a counter argument to that.

Well, wasn't GH:WT more expensive than Rock Band? They're already putting a 55 pound price tag on Modern Warfare 2.

That is so outrageous I just refuse to believe it. So sorry.

...well, good thing this and the price of PS3 isn't up to him.

I bet he would... the %$%!

Sorry, but he's not being reasonable.

Although his greed is astonishing in its openness, clearly this guy's ideal scenario would be one where the HW makers give away their consoles for free so that he can sell games for $150 dollars a pop!

While I believe in an open market and the core concepts of Capitalism, this guy represents the ugly side of how far it can go wrong when rampant greed dwarfs fair trading and consumer interests.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
