Any time Sony thought this tune had become iconic for LBP they coulda paid the rights holder some extra cash and prevented the song's use for any video game or video game related purposes not connected to Sony. Sony obviously didn't think it was worth it, or just plain didn't think of doing it.
So, nothing to see here folks.
Edit: Oh, but the "connect for FREE!!!!!" now that's priceless.
