It's a pirates dream.

Too bad I don't pirate.

Makes one wonder if SSD drives shouldn't be dropping faster in price if it is soon possible to fit that much storage into memory stick form factors.

It might be quite some time before capacities of this size become available, and even longer before prices approach practical consumer levels, but there is no doubt this is where the storage industry is rapidly heading.

HDD's days are numbered.

they could replace the HD of the ps3 slim with one of these if they don't cost to much to mass product

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

No longer would i need a hulking external drive to house my pron?

Nope, plus you can watch it ON THE GO. How cool is that?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Sony's next gen game format ^

You don't need 2TB removable storage to pirate on massive levels. I've seen huge DS libraries stored on 8GB micro chips with R4s so storage has not been an issue in quite some time.

Plus for the amount you'd be paying for a 2TB card just to store stolen software, you'd be able to outright BUY all those games at retail prices.

But 2TB makes the concept of carrying an entire library of music and HD video with you on the go (along with any other files) a reality.

Beyond that, not sure what else it would be used for with general purpose computing unless read/write speeds are fast enough to replace hard drives. It would be a boon for netbook, notebook and any portable format storage.
