I don't really think they have to do anything really. They have 2010 locked down, IMO, and the rest of the year seems acceptable. I can't really that much of a hardware shift. They could always just increase marketing and make it even more apparent the xbox is still 100$ cheaper than the ps3. That, or they will wait until the holidays to counteract anything.

I really don't see how the 360 has 2010 locked down. Much better games than anything coming to 360 will be on both Wii and PS3. Metroid: The Other M and Mario Galaxy 2 on Wii and Possibly the New Zelda while PS3 will have God of War III, FF Versus XIII, and The Last Guardian. I would say the only thing the 360 has locked down as far as 2010 goes is a good shot at coming in 3rd.

XIII, Versus, and XIV all in one year? 
Expecting those all in the same decade is probably pushing it.

Versus XIII will be out in Japan at the very least at some point in the second half of 2010 because Nomura has been working on it since 2006 or 2007. And XIV will be out in 2011.

I also have to say that the games for the xbox in 2010 are 100% confirmed, and not speculations / expectations, so I can't feel your exasperation. The implication of this is that my expectations are real, while yours aren't really. For a quotation, what I have bolded is enough. But I needed to stop the exaltation.

im sure microsoft isnt going to keep the Elite's price at 399 and the arcade's at 199 with a ps3 slim (likely) coming. i expect a 149.99 arcade and a 299.99 Elite.
