Duke Nukem 3D had vertical aiming (you could set it to keyboard and mouse) although it did auto-aim the y-axis quite a bit.

How can someone like DS fps-controls? Really.

Well I played only good FPS on my DS such as Moon, Dementium, Metroid Prime Hunters. All of them have excelent controls. Specially Moon.

It's like a mouse and keyboard experience in your pocket. I got used to it, really awesome. I play with the stylus, not the thumb.
