Forums - Sales - Left 4 Dead 2 being ignored again?

Whenever I see people listing this holidays massive games, ODST, Forza, Uncharted 2, NSMB ect I never see Left 4 Dead 2 mentioned, it was in the official poll but apart from that its not considered a heavy hitter, but why?

Left 4 Dead scored higher than Uncharted and one point lower than Forza 2, and Uncharted has only sold about 200k more than Left 4 Dead despite being on the market a year longer.

Now I know why Left 4 Dead sold more, its a shooter and its on a console with a higher userbase, but that aside, why is Left 4 Dead 2 being ignored?

I can't wait for it. I have no idea what you are talking about Seece

People are not that excited. It's a rushed sequel. I was seriously considering buying the first game for $30, but with the second I have to shell out $60 just to play the most recent one with the most players. No thanks.

They're making improvements over Left 4 Dead and there is nothing to suggest its rushed, a year is long enough.

its because its just a coop game.

had it had a fully fleshed out campain i guess it would be much more looked forward to, i expect it to sell very well though.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

I'm not talkign about what people are looking forward to the most, I'm talking about people doing "lists" on this christmas' big games, and Left 4 Dead 2 being left out

Two things come to mind. It has little or no hype compared to the titles you listed, and it is being released one year after the previous game. If the same game were released next year or two years from now, it would be getting hyped out the wazoo, and people would pay more attention to it. I still think it will sell well though.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

*Cough* Call of Duty *cough*

because Left for dead came out just last year. It's going to sell a lot too, but it looks more like 1.5 than 2.

I played it over the weekend at my cousin's house, it looks better than i thought, but it got more credit because of who made it than the game itself.
