This may have been done before, but I'm just wondering why Facebook is so popular now. Almost no one I know has a Facebook. So how has them?

Well, I like the overall interface of facebook. It just seems to work easier for me.
I haven't used myspace in years!
I have neither, simply hate those places.
From what I've seen and read though, Facebook does look a lot cleaner (average MySpace page is a horrible mess with a tiled photo background and often some music going on as well), plus Facebook places more importance on actually finding the people you know (though by now from various complaints I hear at work it seems everybody is starting to add anybody).
I'm a Facebook user... I check MySpace occasionally, like once or twice a week, but I'm on it for 15 seconds.

That's one thing I hate about Facebook. It never lets you see anyone's page unless you're signed in. And I don't even feel the need to have one right now.
I have mine set to open-to-public, I guess you must still be logged in, you just don't have to be on my friend's list.
But, anyways, Facebook is just nicer to use than MySpace, a lot of MySpace feels tacked together, whilst FB feels like everything should be together, it's also a lot more advanced in terms of web 2.0.
It's not set to public.
I just checked hehe.
