Good luck then.

I'd prefer to stick with the PC version myself and I'd feel cheated if I were gaming on a 360 if this is like the past where Valve wants to give this to the community without charging them and MS refuses to let that happen.

I hope Valve make this crystal clear. And  I really hope that the extra PC stuff wasn't delayed or hobbled by Microsoft's nickel and diming.

link to preview of new levels added.

---

Destructoid preview here. *spoiler warning*

It's geared as a versus campaign so it's only two levels long and will have around a 30 minute runtime. However, it can be played as a regular campaign as well as survival. Even though it's only two levels long, the preview mentions some interesting events that will take place that will make the levels exciting.

hmmm, seems short, but geared towards versus sounds good.

Even though Valve is still falling short compared to their TF2 support, the community seems to be picking up the slack. There's a few great campaigns out there already and surely more that are being worked on. I'll gladly pay my $50 for L4D2 come November.

then you have to ask yourself why valve priced it at 7$ instead of 2.50$ or cheaper.

Actually, I'd be more inclined to ask how much Microsoft wants the prices of DLC to be since I highly doubt they'd let something like this go for $2.50 or less. Though I am wondering how they managed to let the survival pack go for free.

The survival pack didnt add much at all. 1 level and a gametype which really isn't anything more than a constant flood of zombies isn't much. Plus wasn't released as a patch?

The new campaign can't be added like patch because Microsoft expects to make money off content like addition campaigns or map packs. M$ proced the content so they can make a specific amount of revenue off of it then it will get a rpice cut then eventually become free.

It's not that Valve can't make the DLC free, it's that they're insistent on putting out new achievements with it, and free DLC with achievements is against Microsoft's policy. There are a hefty amount of games out there with free DLC add-ons, they just don't get achievements to go with them.
