While the Playstation 3 is really lacking in role-playing games from Japan, the situation would have been far worse without NIS America. With Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice and Cross Edge already on the Playstation 3, the small publishing company will also release Last Rebellion in the future and are working on the localization of Atelier Rorona.
One more role-playing game may be added to the list. Nao Zook, the Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator of NIS America, left the following comment when asked about publishing Trinity Universe:
“Trinity Universe… We are hearing about this title at the office here and there, but no definite plan for it. But, I am very hopeful for the game to be released in US from NISA, considering all the NISA characters are in it
”
Like the aforementioned Cross Edge, Trinity Universe is a crossover game featuring characters from the Disgaea and Atelier series. The project resulted from the collaboration between Nippon Ichi Software and Gust Corporation. Trinity Universe will be released in Japan sometime in August exclusively for the Playstation 3.
