Apple "accidentaly" entered the handheld market with iphone and ipod touch, would be a smart move to release a console now.

Well, we know apple products have fashion status and use to be overpriced. Think a console to cost 1000 dolars in release and beeing a sucess anyway...

I do not think of the iPhone or iPod Touch as a handheld gaming device. Most people buy it for a phone or music and most games are terrible because it lacks a control stick and D-Pad.

I agree with dsister44. If Apple made its console like its computers, it would be overpriced and very over hyped just like the PS3. It would sink faster than a lead weight.

It will be centered around Digital distribution of movies, games and music. An evolution of Apple TV or whatever they called that TV set top box. It's bound to happen eventually. Apple wants every aspect of your life to come from the itunes store.
