WarmachineX said: I dont see blu ray ever taking off...its just technology that came too late. Even the people that i know that own bluray players dont buy blurays and thats sad. Call me a hater if you like but I just dont see the point in paying $35 for a movie when I can buy the same thing on dvd for $20. And I know what you're going to say, "but bluray has 6x the picture quality n00b lolololol"; not if you have a tv under 40" buddy...
Don't take this as me being anti-bd, I'm just a smart consumer ;) when they stop making dvds then maybe I will consider getting a bd player. |
I will call you n00b. I have a 32" LCD, and the difference in picture quality is amazing. I say the best judge is this. Download a movie twice. An HD version, and a "DVD quality" version. Put them on you're 360 or PS3. That was there is no upscaling or anything, just the picture running in it's native resolution. If you say the HD version looks the same as DVD version....even on a 15" HDTV, then you should be diagnosed as blind.

Just go there, and if you can't see any differences, then just quit life. As mean as that sounds
