I did some calculations for both xbox 360 and ps3 and i divided the end of the year potinital total sales to their life time sales.

Ill add 2million more to each xbox 360 and ps3s total sales for the end of nov 09, because thats how many more they could both sell this year.

xbox 360 is now at 31.46m,+2m=33.46

ps3 is at 23m+2m=25

Now ill divide each final number by each consoles life time,

xbox 360   33.46m divided by 4years =8.365m

ps3    25m divided by 3years =8.3m

As you can see both consoles sell identical, Infact the ps3 is selling a bit faster than 360 overall.

Note im not saying each console sold exactly 8.3m a year but this is just a way of looking at it.

Yes the ps3 sales are great and better than the 360's technically.

Every years has been PS3 year confirmed.

I don't think so.

It doesn't matter which system sells the most per year, but which system has more consoles sold in the present.

Then explain why the X360 is outselling the PS3 every week.  Hmmm  

This generation didn't start until the PS3 launched according to Sony so take out the early lead for 360 on launch then redo the numbers and see what they show...
