At the start of season 2, a young, black Jewish woman should show up at the door and say "This is your son, Adolf". He then has a Homer-Bart like relationship with the child, who also becomes good friends with Adolf Jr.

It is the parents responsibility to do everything possible to save their kids. That includes seeking medication for a cure or a medical professional for help. Praying is the last thing you do when nonthing else can be done. These parents didn't do everything possible to save their daughter and for that there in jail.
