If they do it through software emulation then it should be for all PS3s, not the Slim specifically.

I don't know yet. If they don't need PS2 profits anymore then i think they will add the BC. PS2 is on it's last leg im thinking so they will need BC soon IMO.

Yes, I believe it will. PS2 is almost done.

All the Xbox games you can buy from Xbox Live you can also play from the disc if you have the game.

If Sony allows you to buy but not play from disc there'll be lots of pissed off people. I don't think they'd do that...
