Having to live in Japan is totally not worth playing those games early.

Actually, I'm not sure about NSMBW. If you look at the recently released chart with release dates, the game gets a "this winter" for Japan, while it gets a "holiday 2009" for NA and a "4th quarter CY 2009" for Europe. So while the year 2009 is confirmed for  the West, it actually isn't for Japan.

Even so that still puts it in close proximity with everything else on the list. It's an onslaught either way.

Also we can add Mario & Sonic + Kirby. I'm iffy on Kirby but Nintendo has it listed (again) and they are unpredictable when it comes to revealing games...

It's FY, that's the point. It ends the 31st of March of 2010. Games ARE going to be released during the 1st quarter of next year. Same happened last year, don't you remember?

There's nothing there that says it is coming in 2009. All it says is upcoming 3rd party games and list them alphabetically by publisher. Now I'd suspect a vast majority of them will be in 2009 but we don't know which ones yet. Obviously Nintendo wouldn't know either because they don't set the release dates. They are just listing the big titles to fluff out their financial results so it looks good to investors.
