		lol i fucked something up here.. Anyways:   James Franco ... Hwoarang Ron Perlman ... Paul Pheonix Jackie Chan ... Lei Wulong Look at that.. These guys aren't low profile actors.. sure  the rest might be... but they had the sense to use jackie chan as Lei Wulong.. ofcourse having the char been based on jackie chan that gives me hope.   If the rest of the chars aren't important or gets a lot of makeup they can pass off too.   The important thing is jackie chan is in the movie. .. And that means im gonna see it. XD..   They did make a lot of asian people.. not asian though lol... I don't know about these kinds of movies.

Set in 2039, the greatest fighters from around the world come to compete in the last and greatest sporting event of all time, the King of Iron Fist Tournament. After World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, the remaining territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations, the mightiest of which is Tekken. In order to keep the masses down, Tekken sponsors the Iron Fist Tournament in which fighters compete to the death for ultimate glory and receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth.

We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a street fighter that enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon Tekken's powerful and controlling Chairman, Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament. With the help of Lucas, an ageing Iron Fist Champion and fight trainer, Jin makes his way through the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity.

According to the behind-the-scenes people, the time-line will range from Tekken 3 to Tekken 5

TVA Website Synopsis: The leader of a highly corrupt business under investigation of murder, Heihachi Mishima, suspiciously announces a tournament to crown a "king of iron fist" whereby the winner will be made his personal bodyguard and will have riches and fame laid upon them. However the tournament is not all it seems, as all of the contestants seem to have their own separate agenda's to get close to the man looking to employ them. Consequentlly a group of elite fighters, undercover police and assassins team together in the hope of uncovering the truth but slowly realize they are in fact linked together through more than just there goal of killing Mishima .....based on the highly popular video game.

The movie will be given an R rating.

A trailer will be released sometime between June and August 2009



Looks like we'll soon be able to tell if it's gonna be good :p

Aparently it releases october. To coincide with the game i presume.

I hope we never see it with Mortal Combat and Street Fighter fresh in mind...

All of those actors have been in their fair share of bad movies. Add that to the fact that video game movies typically suck.

Wait did James Franco really sign on for this movie? I kinda find that hard to believe because he really picky about his roles. If he really did that would make it a slightly decent movie.

Screw the movie, I just want the damn game already!

Damn, now if I see James Franco in a movie, I can only imagine him as a a dirty douche with a hangover thanks to Pineapple Express.

Weird choice for Paul...

I hope to see Marduk, Bryan, Fang and Dragonouv. OH, and Steve. I hope they get good actors that look like similar to these characters in the game.
