Honestly, if I could just point at icons and make a motion, that would be great. The mouse isn't going to be used primarily for PC's forever.

It has some kinks to work out, but it's a possibility.
In the context of the question yes it can but not in every situation. After all I could use a pointer like I would with a projector today, it replaces the mouse but it would not be ideal in all situations, but in others such as a presentation it is superior to a mouse.
I think some of the previous posters need to get out of the box a bit more often before responding.

Voice Recognition can replace the mouse, and the keyboard.
Natal has fine motion and advanced voice control.
Repent or be destroyed
If its launched with a new platform then it could be huge success.
If its launched as an accessory then its far too late in the generation to expect many people to adopt a new control scheme

We are talking about the possibility of Natal, or something familiar to it replacing the mouse.
Sorry, meant to post that in the 2010 topic!
Nah, I don't believe motion control will have any impact on home PCs. To be honest I can't imagine typing with Natal.
Still its a step forward for home consoles. Heading towards that mythical virtual reality =P
