maybe if they advertsied it so people knew it actually existed. where i like yakuza 2 is the most expensive ps2 game and there are no used copies of it.

People need to understand that advertising isn't a magical solution, they spent a lot on the first Yakuza and the numbers of the first one are quite similar to the second one  (VG Chartz doesn't even have numbers for NA).

I don't remember Yakuza getting much advertisement.  I would have heard of a TV commercial if it did.

It would basically be what.. voice acting?   Or even just subtitles?

I guess you'd have to change a few signs into english?   Would it really be substantionally more expensive?

Voice acting, production, distribution, packing. Anyway when they took Valkyria Chronicles to America it flopped really hard the first months, after a special offer and a big word of mouth capaign the game started to move units. But Valkyria is a new IP Yakuza is a established franchise that flopped really hard in America in a system with a much bigger user base.

Anyway let's try something different. Can we; at the Internet forums guarantee good sales for Yakuza 3 to Sega? What argument can we give to Sega of America to bring that game?

Part 4 probably will.

Yakuza 4 is suppose to have new protagonists so I think Yakuza 4 would be a great starting point for newcomers if that is true.  It's a shame Yakuza 2 sold as poorly as it did.  To be fair though, it's Sega of America's fault for not marketing it/

You ain't kidding, i only bought it because i heard about in on the now deceased 1up Show.

I'd say they pass it off to a smaller company to localize. Surely an Atlus or XSEED could do it.

Sega did the right thing.

Seriously, both Yakuza games bombed and the PS3 isnt really a software killer. Not a hard decision to make.

Damn what bullshit...

Time for an import then.

Well it doesn't rule out someone else localising it. But it would all depend on how much Sega wants for it and if someone sees potential in it.
