I believe it is crucial (...) to let you know the repair status of my beloved 360 console:

 

18th of july in the late afternoon: The 360 freezes during an intense BF1943 fight (when my team was winning of course...)

I'm directly contacting the XBOX line to organize the repair. They send me to service.xbox.com to do the job myself...

It turns to be easier than usual because, due to the last RROD (2,5 years ago), they still have all the information of my current console. Very well then.

The system indicates that I'm out of the standard warranty period.. aouch... it is framed in red !!! I'm doomed !! ... but when I go down I see that RROD and E74 are still supported. Great then !  Pfiiiuuu...

20th of July: I receive the tracking mail from MS. It says that a second automatic mail from UPS should arrive shortly. Nothing to worry about...

21th of July: It is public holiday here.

22th of July: Still no mail from UPS. I call back the call center: "It is probably because yesterday was a public holiday, wait a little".. ok...

23th of July: Still no sign of UPS. I call back again... "No sir, you have to understand that we need 4 open days to process your demand. " Ok I wait.

25th of July. I check my spams folders.. nothing.  Call back. ''You haven't received anything ? Ok let me check that, hold the line'... I hold the line... "Ok so I manually organized everything. Here is your new dossier number from XBOX services and the phone number you can call to organize the removal with UPS"... Now I have to organize it too ?

The guy dictates me the UPS phone number... at one moment he says "sixty-seventeen"..Sixty-seventeen ? I tell him that here in Belgium, we say seventy seven, not sixty-seventeen....

"Oh ? You are located in Belgium ? " Yes I do... "ok sorry, hold on a minutes" ... more like ten minutes... "Ok now I re-modified your dossier.. here is the belgian number..."... about time... "But let UPS trying to contact you first. They will come to your place to pick up the console".

What if I'm not home ? I work you now... "well, they will let a piece of paper telling you that they tried to remove the package. This piece of paper will tell you when they plan to come back. If it doesn't suits you, then you can call them to re-arrange the meeting..."... ok lets do so... if UPS has time and money to waste (or MS...)...

27th of July: No sign of UPS

28th of July: No sign of UPS

29th of July: Still no sign of UPS.... I will call them tomorrow...

 

Last time I had a RROD, I received the mail instantly and I was able to print electronic labels. My office is next to the Belgian UPS hub so I deliverd the package myself and got my 360 back in a week.

It is not looking too well this time... I'm already 11 days without 360

My 360 got the E74 sometime around July 15th, mailed it on the 16th.

Still waiting...



If you have a UPS label and a box, just go to ups.com and schedule a pickup. The pickup charges will be charged to the label.



I got RROD a month ago and still not sent it to MS.

I should do it soon because I only have 1 month of warranty left ^^



Thats so painful.....ny PS3 broke in Jan I had to wait 6 days...but 11!!?? *shivers*

Dude just chill, your 360 will come soon. Call them again and be angry, so it'll scare them and swear alot if you have to although that might be a bit wierd..

My PS3 was repaired really fast, and I live somewhat far away from the repair centers. They shipped me a box within 3 days, and I shipped it the next day. I got my brand new PS3, along with brand new controller and cables in 3 days aswell. I was so happy :P

Last time, it took them only a week....

I guess it is a shit-in shit-out situation this time...

 

My damn RRODed 360 is still in the package... waiting...

 

Luckily, I'm enjoying INFAMOUS on my PS3...

My 360 died about 5 months ago and i'm still waiting. Haven't sent it yet tho that's probably why.
