Forums - Microsoft - personal rpg rank of released games on the 360

JRPGS

1. Star Ocean 4 - Love the battle system. I've always preferred turn-based jrpgs, but I found this to be really enjoyable. I only wish that it were longer and you could euthanize Lymle.

2. Lost Odyssey - ah, the traditional turn-based. Reminds me a bit of FF6 and FF9 (my favorite ffs). Sakaguchi & Uematsu never disappoint. Sequel pls?

3. Blue Dragon - yay for the class system. Need more of them in current gen jrpgs. Where's my sequel, Mistwalker?

4. Infinite Undiscovery - the first 4 or 5 hours are shit but if you can trudge through that, the remainder of the game is enjoyable. Grinn Valesti!!!

5. Eternal Sonata -  Good concept (Chopin's dreamworld) but poor execution. At least it's easy on the eyes.

6. Enchanted Arms - Garbage.

Just getting into Tales but early indications show I'll rank it in the top 3. So far I don't care for the battle system and hate having to hold down LT to move freely. I've been setting my character to auto way more often than I'd like.

WRPGS

1. Mass Effect - Epic. I can hardly wait for the sequel and more sexy time with aliens. I got my lvl 60 über-Paragon gamesave waiting.

2. Fallout 3 - A close 2nd. Sidequests were the most fun. They did a great job capturing the DC area. Do want New Vegas.

3. Fable 2 -  Big disappointment for me. Too short. Lame enemies and battles. There's only so much whoring around you can do until it gets stale. The last 25 minutes of the game were pretty cool though.

I still haven't gotten around to Oblivion but I imagine it'll place ahead of Fable 2.

Around the Network

I haven't played many yet, but I'm working on it.

1. Tales of Vesperia

2. Mass Effect

3. Lost Odyssey

4. Blue Dragon

5. Fallout 3

Well considering all I have for my 360 is RPGs, here goes.

1.) The Last Remnant
2.) Star Ocean: The Last Hope
3.) Lost Odyssey
4.) Infinite Undiscovery
5.) Enchanted Arms

Still to be played:

Tales of Vesperia
Blue Dragon

...both of which are still in shrinkwrap!

1)Tales of Vesperia

2)Lost odyssey
3)Mass effect
5)Infinite undiscovery

Wow...I just noticed that's the only RPG's i have:( Damn FPS gaming getting in the way...

-Tier 1-
1) Lost Odyssey
2) Tales of Vesperia
3) Blue Dragon

-Tier 2-
4) Infinite Undiscovery

-Tier 3-
5) Star Ocean 4
6) The Last Remnant

The only RPG left for 360 that I have any interest in is Fable II, so this list is pretty complete.

I'm not but I may give the game another go if I upgrade my PC. The 360 version of the game was just so god awful. Doing quests and stuff became more of a hassle. But a friend of mine says the PC version is alot better.

The interface is better, particularly the inventory system. The performance is also better on a good PC. However, it doesn't sound like those are the issues you have with the game. The gameplay is still the same, including the bland sidequests.
