It would be very hard for Sony to get Cross-game chat, since Microsoft patent so many things about it. Only way I could see them doing it with-out paying is if they use Skype.

I think the service is Skype. Its the best answer. Skype is already on PSP, and Sony still has a contract with them, so why wouldnt Sony take advanatage? Then for 3.0 Im geussing they'll have cross game voice chat, because they'll have ALL their patents and lawsuits worked out

well they can release something like it and call it something else while having a little twist in the features.

that way it wont do anything to the patent.

They already have the infastructure in place. While playing a game go and create a chatroom. It will give you voice or tex options, but as of now you can only use text.

Its not that easy. Remember Sony lost the lawsuit to have DualShock put in their controllers from start? Them AND Microsoft

also get suied for every console that has online. Sony can never be to careful, one wrong coding or feature could get them sued

for millions of dollars.
