No doubt. lol! Simple truth is most video game steering wheel peripherals are built like toys because... they are toys.

But some of the high end ones use good enough materials to *almost* simulate the feel of a good racing steering wheel and stick shifter.

But 900 degree wheel turn is pretty much mandatory if a peripheral maker is even bothering to shoot for any degree of realism.

But for the new F1 game by Codemasters having a 900 degree wheel eill FULLY take away the realism. F1 cars have a 240 degree turn. So the wheel is perfect for that.

If I want an F1 game then I'll buy an F1 steering wheel. Clearly F1 controls were not what MS had in mind when they designed their wheel.

Besides, F1 represents a tiny fraction of the overal Forza experience. If you're playing it to race F1, you're probably playing the wrong racing game.

As it stands, over 95% of the cars are GT or road cars with standard steering angles.

anybody think there will be a package where forza 3 will be bundled with the steering wheel?

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

They package a demo of Forza 2 currently with the MS wheel. Kind of lame considering that the game costs what? $20?

It wouldn't be a bad idea, but for a $100 peripheral, they're not going to give away a $60 game. And I'm not sure I see a $150 bundle flying off the shelves either.

It's really kind of odd just how many gamers play driving games with control pads, but most gamers aren't peripheral mongers.

Well the ace combat/ flight stick bundle happened. I wouldn't completely rule it out yet.

So honestly, what do you think the chances are of MS releasing an updated MS wheel with a clutch and better turning radius and maybe a gear stick?

Should I wait or just get the MS wheel? I do really like it but don't want to buy it to see an updated version coming out in a few months?

I think you read my post wrong. I said for the new Codemasters F1 game every wheel with 900 degree turn is useless. The M$ wheel is perfect as it's 240 degree just like F1 is. And it has the paddle shift. My point was that 900 degree wheels are not as realistic for all cars as people make out. Most power assisted steering cars in real life don't have 900 degree turn on the wheel. It's usually between 600 and 720 for PAS cars. So really 900 degree wheels are only spot on for cars with no Power steering.
